Course 5 - Could I borrow some money?

- Conversation: Eating out.
1. Do you often go out to eat with your family or friends? Would you like to go our more?
2. Do you prefer homemade food or eating why? What are the pros and cons?
3. Do you have a favorite place? What is it? Describe it. If you don't, explain why.
4. What is your favorite dish? What makes it so special?
5. Would you like to learn to cook? What would you like to know how to prepare?
- Lesson 5.2: Could I borrow some money?
- Assessment: Roleplay - You are going to make a conversation in which you are in a restaurant. Some of your groups are going to be part of the restaurant and the others are the clients. Roleplay a conversation where you book for a table, ask about the specialties about the restaurant, ask for appetizers/main dish and dessert. Then, introduce a problem in the service and a solution. Finally, ask for the bill and do questions about the prices.

- Conversation: Vacations in the wild.
1. What kind of vacations would you like to go on next year? Why is that interesting to you?
2. What places from the world seem attractive to you? Explain what makes them attractive.
3. Would you go on a long vacation to the wilderness? Why?
4. What are the most dangerous places that you have heard of in the wild? What makes them specially dangerous?
5. Is there a dangerous activity you would like to engage in? For example: hiking in the Amazons, going in a safari, climbing a mountain, surfing a big wave, etc.
- Lesson: 8.2 What will happen if...?
- Assessment: Offering a tour. You are going to prepare a small presentation in which you offer a type of vacation like and advertisement. The presenters must explain where the vacation goes, how can people travel there, what accomodations they are going to have, what activities are they going to take part in and why is this trip unique to others. The presentation is applying the use of the future.
