- Game: Board Race is a fun game that is used for revising vocabulary. Here’s what to do:
Divide the class into two teams and give each team a colored marker. Draw a line down the middle of the board and write a topic at the top. The students must then write as many words related to the topic in a relay. The first person will write the first word and pass the colored marker to the one next in line. Score each team with one point for each correct word. Unreadable or misspelled words are not counted.

Practice the conversation, remember to use vocabulary you have learned in the courseand ask follow-up questions.

- Assessment: Roleplay - You are going to make a conversation in which you are in a restaurant. Some of your groups are going to be part of the restaurant and the others are the clients. Roleplay a conversation where you book for a table, ask about the specialties about the restaurant, ask for appetizers/main dish and dessert. Then, introduce a problem in the service and a solution. Finally, ask for the bill and do questions about the prices.

The presenters must explain where the vacation goes, how can people travel there, what accomodations they are going to have, what activities are they going to take part in and why is this trip unique to others. The presentation is applying the use of the future.

Course 5 - TV Shows

- Conversational Practice: Work in pairs or groups of three and have a conversation where you decide that to watch next either on TV or a computer. Complete the following objectives:
* Exchange different ideas on what to watch.
* Go through at least 3 shows before deciding what to watch and decide why you want or don't want to watch one or the other.
* One of the speakers decides to go because there is nothing good to watch and then show a way to convince one speaker to stay.

- Final Activity: Describe your favorite series or shows. First, explain what the show is about indicating the setting, the main characters and what the episodes revolve around. Second, explain what makes the show unique to other shows, this can be something about the dialogues, plot or scenes presented. Third, explain how the show has been recognised: Is it popular? Is it a cult show for a small dedicated audience? Is it not well-known? And explain why. Fourth, who would you recommend this film to and why?


Course 6 - Describing a journey.

- Writing Task: Describing a Journey.
Now it is your turn to describe that journey in terms of what you or your characters see, hear, smell or feel. Write no more than 200 words, but make sure this is a well laid out, well structured piece of writing with full sentences. Think clearly about your starting point and your destination. Then you can start to imagine all the bits in between. If it helps, draw a map (like last time) before you start writing. With each new piece of description, start a new paragraph so that we can understand the journey step by step. Remember to use commas and full stops effectively.

  • What time of day is the travelling taking place? What’s the weather like?
  • What is the mode of transport? Are we walking, driving, riding a horse etc?
  • What’s the landscape like? Are there trees? Flowers? Or fields? Rivers or a desert? Waterfalls, even? Try to describe all of these elements simply and clearly so that a reader can really imagine what they look like.
  • Are there wild animals to be seen? Buildings along the way? Factories? Farms? Castles? Bridges?
  • Are there obstacles or dangerous places that need to be passed? Are there strangers to meet? How does the journey end? What has the experience taught you?
