1. When we know about the future we normally use the present tense.
- We use the present simple for something scheduled or arranged:

2. We use will to talk about the future:

3. We use (be) going to:
- To talk about plans and intentions:

4. We often use verbs like would like, plan, want, mean, hope, expect to talk about the future:

5. We use modals may, might, and could when we are not sure about the future:

In clauses with time words like when, after, and until we often use a present tense form to talk about the future:

In clauses with if we often use a present tense form to talk about the future:
We won’t be able to go out if it rains.

WARNING: We do not normally use will in clauses with if or with time words:

9. We can use the future continuous instead of the present continuous or going to for emphasis when we are talking about plans, arrangements and intentions:

1. Oral Assessment: Presentation on new technologies
Create a 5 slides presentation about new piece of technology. Follow the instructions:
0 - Cover: Prepare a cover for your presentation with your name, title of your invention and what it is.
1 - Technology Nowadays: Present the technology we have now, how it works and its limitations.
2 - New Piece of Technology: Present the new technology that will replace the current one, indicate differences and how it will work.

Prepare a conversation where in a group you are going to give your view about the future. Indicate the things you are sure will happen, those things that may happen and what you are sure won't happen. Explain your points of view using arguments such as statistics, programs, articles and other sources of information you have read. The following questions may serve as a guide:
