Assessment 1

Topic: Rules for a place.
Grammar: Must/ Musn't
Students must talk about the rules and regulations a place has, explaining at least five obligations using must/musn't, then they have to explain why each rules exists. They have to use MUST/MUSTN'T to establish the rules and specific vocabulary of the places, activity or organization they are talking about.

This is a two tasks exercise. First, students will answer 6 questions presented in the listening. Then they have to write about what they should, must and might do if they wanted to join this competition. The writing must be 80 words or longer.

Topic: Having a better life.
Grammar: Have to/ Must
You are going to write an article where you give 7 recommendations to have a good life. You are going to present 7 things you must/have to do in order to have a successful existing. The ideas must come from your own experience or concepts that you have seen that work. Every idea should be number and presented like this:

1. You have to let go. Obssessing over problems that you have had or suffered do not help you. You must find a way where you put your mind in a different path, so yout thoughts are not always circling the same thing. Get a hobby, find new friends or responsabilities so you can get your mind busy.

2. You have to work hard. Working is living and living is working. You must dedicate a good quantity of hours to any type of profession in order to be good at it. Relying on talent is not enought, you must put the hours and enjoy it, yes, if you don't enjoy, maybe you should look for a new job, because spending a lot of time on some thing you don't like won't help you.
